Hello my name is SPICE and I am eleven years old.
I was taken to the Canine Defence League in Liverpool with my Sheltie friend when our owner said she could no longer take care of us.
My friend was re-homed and I was left alone. Despite attention from the kennel girls I was very lonely and I stopped eating. An animal psychologist was asked to see me and she was very worried. She said that a home had to be found for me as soon as possible as I would continue to deteriorate and might even die.
With the help of Collie Rescue I was re-homed. I was scared at first but have now settled in very well. I live with three other dogs and some cats. I go for regular walks with my new family. I am eating well and have put on lots of weight although my new mum says she will not allow me to get fat as it will be bad for me.
I am really happy in my new home and hope to be here for a long time.
